"Preparing for the 2026 World Cup:
A Call to Action"
As Atlanta gears up for the 2026 World Cup, the Our Legacy House team is diligently collaborating with our partners to address the increased risks of trafficking associated with large-scale events. With heightened travel and crowds, we are committed to raising awareness and implementing strategies to protect vulnerable individuals in our community. Together, we can work to prevent exploitation and ensure a safer environment for everyone.
Join us in our mission to support child survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and to create a community where everyone is safe.
OUR PROGRAMMING
Structured Daily Life, Not Institutionalization: Residents will follow a rhythm rooted in safety and structure, including:
o Therapeutic sessions (individual, group, and family-based)
o Morning mindfulness practices
o Enrichment blocks (music, art, movement)
o Life skills training (meal prep, budgeting, digital literacy)
o Education delivered through a trauma-informed academic model
o Reflection and journaling periods before bedtime
• Customized Care Plans: Each child’s stay begins with a comprehensive 360° intake evaluation across emotional, behavioral, physical, and educational domains. Care plans are co-developed by clinical staff and caregivers, and are revisited monthly for progress tracking and adaptation.
